I'm Dani Abbott, an artist based in Arizona.
I work in a practice I call Metaphorical Realism. Every piece starts with something real and becomes something more. A place becomes a feeling. A moment becomes something you can stand in front of years later and still find new things inside.
People bring this work home because something in it feels familiar. A trip that changed them. Someone they love. A feeling they've been looking for a place to put. That recognition is what I make work for.
