Dani, an artist with an unwavering passion for drawing and painting, embarked on her artistic journey from childhood. Despite lacking formal art education, she discovered her innate talent early on, often utilized in volunteering at church and donating her skills wherever needed. It wasn't until Dani faced the challenges of life, navigating a divorce years later and shouldering the responsibility of raising two daughters, that she considered the prospect of turning her beloved art into a source of income.

 

A fortuitous opportunity arose when she was hired at a physical therapy clinic, a setting that would unknowingly become the stage for her artistic endeavors.Encouraged by the clinic's owner, Dani introduced her artwork to the clinic's walls. To her delight, patients began purchasing her creations, and commissions flowed in.

 

Balancing a full day of work at the clinic and also as a personal trainer on the side painting into the night became a demanding yet fulfilling routine. The exhaustion was eclipsed by the joy of being recognized as "an artist" and the connections formed with patients through conversations about her work.

The turning point came with her first art show in Michigan, where several pieces found new homes. Life then took Dani to the captivating landscapes of Alaska after marrying the love of her life, affording her the opportunity to delve deeper into her art during the empty nest days. Inspired by long dark days and caffeine, Dani embarked on a whimsical series featuring coffee bean characters infused with humor and puns, injecting joy into her creations.

 

As winters in Alaska wore on, a move to the warmth of Phoenix, Arizona beckoned. Eager to establish herself in the art world, Dani pursued a gallery presence and a full-time career in art. Social media connections paved the way, leading her to showcase her work in a prestigious Scottsdale gallery within months. Despite initial challenges in gaining traction for her coffee bean art, Dani persevered and expanded her reach, and her body of work participating in art shows in Maui, Las Vegas, and Scottsdale, with her work gracing the walls of multiple galleries.

However, life took an unexpected turn when health issues surfaced, and a tremor and unexplained loss of dexterity in her right hand threatened her artistic journey. Undeterred, Dani took a hiatus, attempting rehabilitation with no success. Refusing to abandon her purpose, she adapted, teaching herself to paint left-handed—a formidable challenge that mirrored her determination.

Through frustrations and setbacks, Dani's unwavering determination prevailed. Her narrative shifted, but the essence remained --- she continued to share her faith and hope through art. Grateful for opportunities and resilient in adversity, Dani remains a testament to the power of passion and purpose. In her words, "where there is a will, there is a way," as she uses her divine gift with gratitude and commitment.
