Alchemy is where raw material becomes something transformed. These works are built in layers, earth and pigment and slow labor turned toward a change of state, base matter into something luminous.

 

Each piece holds the record of its own making. Texture you can read like weather, color that shifts as the light moves across it, a surface that rewards standing close and then stepping back.
